WOLFORD Pure 10 Women's Sheer Tights - Ultra Soft Opaque Pantyhose for Everyday Wear, Office & Formal Occasions

These look and feel good. I expect no less from Wolford. However, there are two problems with them. First, if you are somewhat tall, do NOT follow the sizing chart for these. I am 5ft 8.5in (fairly normal though above average height for a woman) and slim. The sizing chart suggests size M. In that size, the crotch would be sitting several inches too low, as would the waistline. Keep in mind that these are thin, so you do not want to pull them up too hard (I was very careful, and yet they snagged on first wearing). In contrast, I adore Wolford opaque tights, the ones for colder weather, and in those, I wear Size S in footless, and M if they have feet and I want to be comfy (they never bunch up, so I'd think even seriously sizing up would not be a problem). The Wolford opaque tights are incredibly well made and long-lasting, and one can stretch them and pull them up without any worry; I've spilled candle wax on them in the past and the tights were not damaged at all. I've never had a snag in the opaque Wolford tights.That brings me to the second, bigger problem with this product - if only the sizing was off, one could simply remember the correct size for the given model and keep buying that one. I wore this product once, with new shoes (fancy Italian designer, completely smooth inside). When I came home and tried to take the shoes off, it turned out that one of them somehow caught the hose, and there was a major pull on the thread and a snag on the hose. There was no way to take the shoe off without ripping them off, the tread was just too caught in the shoe, though I could see no roughness or irregularity on the shoe. So there it was - 61 dollars for ONE WEARING. Something about the thread or the texture must have contributed to this bizarre outcome. I would never buy these again, even though they are comfy and smooth (if you buy at least one size larger than the chart says, unless you are about 5ft 3in or shorter). They are simply too fragile. In contrast, my opaque Wolford tights last for years of non-stop wear with all kinds of footwear including rougher boots, while being no less comfortable than these. Unfortunately, Wolford cannot be trusted for more sheer hosiery and will have to continue searching.I bought my first pair of these hose with assistance of the Wolford store rep in Paris. I was sad when the hose got a run in them but was pleased I could purchase another pair with a click on Amazon.This is advertised as "Seamless". These are not seamless. I did my research and the description is clear "Seamless". I am not debating the quality of the tights but the description is totally incorrect. THESE ARE NOT SEAMLESS.I expected the best I can get and at first their seem confused me because they were stated as seamless, but there is a visible seam. If you read up on the construction process, you begin to understand why they call them seamless. The threads are brought together evenly and basically glued togrther in a special way, so they do not fit the category "stitched". This seam has as much stretch and forming amility of high end seamless tights such as Wolford Fatal 15/50. Yes, as a purest, you have certain expectations of what defines your tights and pantyhose as seamless. I buy mine from the Wolford Boutique at The Bravern in Bellevue WA. They are durable, high quality, very comfortable and perfect in every way. True, I don't like the Pure tights being called seamless, but they are innovative and worthy in their own right. I Iove these pantyhose.and rating for quality should not factor in what you thought because you failed to do your research.For everyday wear I buy tights from a well-known chain store, which are very good. BUT I have very slim ankles and after a few washes, Norah Batty ankles begin to appear!Wolford tights may only be affordable for special occasions but they are so very worth it. Wonderful soft feel, strong, don't snag easily and keep their stretch. Treat yourself!!Just what you would expect from expensive tights.
