I really like Fjallraven products in general and I've had my eye on these for some time. They are my first pair of tights and I think they are a good compromise if you're looking for the stretch of tights but... not really in love with the idea of wearing tights. They have a fly and they have pockets so they're more like a very fitted pair of stretchy pants. I am a 35 waist normally and the L actually had to stretch to fit in the waist. I sent them back and later ordered an XL. The XL is perfect for me and I'm pleased with both the look and the performance.I took one star away because Fjallraven doesn't have a very good warranty compared to American brands like Patagonia. If your zipper breaks after a week or after 5 minutes. you're going to have to pay to have it repaired. They're pretty aloof to deal with too so don't expect much customer service. But they really have their own niche in the market and if you like what they make then I guess they know they don't have have customer service.Size runs small to normal Fjallraven clothes. Product is amazing!I like hiking along the coast and this pants is ideal for northwest coastal areas. I bought the size large because I prefer a looser fit around the waist and slim (not tight) through the hips and legs. The knees and butt patch areas (with thicker but stretchable fabrics) make it feel durable, as during hiking or camping I will be sitting on the ground, rocks, branches etc. This is my go-to hiking/camping pants. The Fjällräven Abisko trekking tights uses a very breathable fabric which keeps you cool during hiking or trekking. I really like the reinforced fabric on the bum and knee area, which makes us less worried when sitting down or kneeling down on a rough surface. I am 5'9", 140 lbs and purchased size S, and the fit on the waist is just about right and the length of the pants is just below my ankle (~31" inseam).Nothing else quite like these, flexibility of tights but a durable feeling construction, and featuring things like belt loops, pockets and a fly, so they definitely look a bit more masculine but you must still feel comfortable with the shape of your legs on show!Taking one star as I found that the seams were quite uncomfortable around the knee, because of the extra seams present for the high durability panels (which do feel very tough), because of this I would recommend using some longjohns underneath, weight to suit conditions. Using Icebreaker 150 weight longjohns in August I've found them perfectly comfortable, but this has made me hesitant to test out on the warmest days with two layers...Great movement, and breathabilty, found them on a windy outing on Stanage Edge to be a perfect temperature balance, not too hot when wind lowered and sun was out, or too cold when windy and cloudy, or any noticeable sweat build-up. Pockets were fine for a mobile phone and car keys.Overall I would recommend giving a go as long as you can afford the premium price!Very well made product (as it should be at over £100)! Waist was a slightly tight, but the fit overall was fine. I'm 30-32 and got a small. The material feels bombproof and should stand up to very rough treatment. My biggest issue was the abrasion resistant panelling to the knees and seat. These reduced mobility around the knees too much for me, which defeats the point of leggings. The seat sagged whilst on and I could feel the seams rubbing around the back of my thighs as a result. I would have preferred a cleaner design without the panels and less seams. I decided to return these and went with the trail leggings. They are clearly popular with men and women, so do give them a go if you're looking for a heavy duty trekking pant that will stand up to serious abuse. If you are looking to go hiking with little time spent off the beaten track or scrambling then check out the trail leggings.Initially very hesitant to purchase these, they are somewhere between compression workout tights & slim fit trousers, unique. Purchased an XL and they fit perfectly. Shame only the black was available, would have purchased the navy.Extremely well made and perfect for climbing, hiking etcHigh spec, high quality walking tights. Worth every penny. If you’re serious about outdoor life, I highly recommend considering these..Hiking trip to Snowdonia , excellent bottoms so comfortable, look great very happy.Highly recommended ??
