I usually wear a large but sometimes get an extra-large in exercise clothes (5'9", 185#). I got the extra-large in these because compression gear tends to run small. They fit well--compressing where needed but no problem getting them on or off. They are my new favorite tights. The waist goes to my actual natural waist, so there is no muffin top between the top of the hips and the navel, as can happen with lower riding compression tights. There's also a drawstring to keep the waist tight. Nice grippy cuffs at the bottom of the legs, so the legs don't ride up. I ran a 5-miler in these last week, and they stayed in place for the whole race (no rolling down at the waist, no riding up at the cuffs). The compression on my knees was great, too.
